Transfers - Authorization Key (EPP) Delivery Issues

I requested to have my EPP key sent to me, but I haven't received it yet.  How long will it take for me to receive my EPP key?

Once you have followed the steps in the article, "OUTGOING Domain Transfers: How to Initiate a Transfer", you should receive the email within an hour.  If you do not, please do the following:

  • Ensure that the registrant email address for the domain is correct (see "Domain WHOIS Contact Information / how to change the domain WHOIS contact information").
  • Check your spam folder.
  • Disable any spam filters on your email address and resend the authorization key.
  • White-list the email address donotreply@name-services.com on your email interface and resend the authorization key.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, please change the Registrant email address for the domain, and send the authorization code to yourself again.

Note: If you change the registrant email address, a 60-day transfer lock will be imposed by default. However you can change this setting to forego the lock. See the article "Enable / Disable 60 day transfer for contact information changes"
