How can I enable/disable the auto-renew on ID protect for my domain?
To purchase ID Protect for a domain name, please see the article, "How to Purchase ID Protect".
ID Protect is automatically set to auto-renew when purchased. You can change the default auto-renew setting for ID Protect by doing the following (this default setting affects new ID Protect purchases that are made after the default setting is changed):
Log in, hover on “My Account” and click “Account Settings”. Click on the “General Settings” tab. Under the "Auto Renew Options" section, check or un-check "ID Protect - Attempt to auto renew within 30 days of expiration". Click “Save Changes”.
After ID Protect is purchased and attached to a domain - To protect/un-protect, manually renew, or enable/disable auto renew for ID Protect for a domain name, please do the following:
NOTE: Your contact information will be visible to the public once you disable ID Protect.
- Log into your account.
- Select the menu option "Domain > My Domains".
- Click on the domain name
- Under the "Associated Services" heading, go to "ID Protect - Edit".
- Here you can manage ID Protect (protect/un-protect, manually renew, or enable/disable auto-renew for ID Protect)
- After the changes have been made, click "Save Changes"
NOTE: Your contact information will be visible to the public once you disable ID Protect
- Log into your account.
- Select the menu option "My Account - Overview"
- Near the bottom of the page, go to "ID Protect - Manage". This will show all the domains that have ID Protect attached to them.
- Click on the domain name to go into the ID Protect settings
- Here you can manage ID Protect (protect/un-protect, manually renew, or enable/disable auto-renew for ID Protect)
- After the changes have been made, click "Save Changes"
