How can I enable/disable the auto-renew on ID protect for my domain?

Note: Domain registrations and ID Protect packages are handled separately on the account, and need to be managed separately. If you enable / disable auto-renew for a domain registration, it will not automatically change the auto-renew setting for ID Protect; you will need to enable / disable auto-renew for ID Protect separately as well, using the details in this article below. This is also the case for when you change the auto-renew setting on ID Protect, you will then need to separately manage the domain registration auto-renew setting, with details in this HelpDesk article: Enable/Disable Auto Renew for Domains)

To purchase ID Protect for a domain name, please see the article, "How to Purchase ID Protect".

Your contact information is  protected in the domain WHOIS information by default, even without ID Protect enabled. See the articles:

  • Click on the “Defaults” tab.
