ID Protect: How to Purchase ID Protect (domain account)

Modified on Wed, 06 Mar 2024 at 10:55 AM

ID Protect Whois Privacy is a value-added service that replaces the contact details on a domain that are visible in a Whois lookup with placeholder information. Our domain registration affiliate, Enom, is GDPR-compliant, so most domain contact information will be redacted in a public Whois lookup by default. Learn more about how ID Protect works with the new GDPR privacy policy here: GDPR and WHOIS ID Protect

Certain TLDs do not allow for privacy protection of any kind. Without ID Protect enabled, accredited third parties can still view a domain's contact details in a gated Whois lookup. ID Protect replaces the contact information in both the public and gated Whois lookups with placeholder data.
