This article contains information on which MX Record to use with our email service.
Note: This article is applicable only if you are using an email service purchased from your domain account.
If you are using ours or Enom's name servers (DNS) and you purchased Enom's email service, the system would've changed the MX record automatically for you (to what is listed below). If you have purchased email with us, but the DNS is hosted elsewhere, you will need to change the domain's MX record at the place where your domain's name servers (DNS) are hosted. The domain should only have one MX record:
mx.yourdomain.com.cust.a.hostedemail.com
Please replace yourdomain.com with your domain name. For example, if your domain is acme.biz, your mx record will be mx.acme.biz.cust.hostedemail.com.
Please note that it's hostedemail, not hostedmail. There is an e in the middle.
If your name servers are Enom's default name servers, you can change the MX record in the domain control panel, see the article Add, View, or Edit MX records. If your name servers are not set to use the default ones, you will need to contact your name server provider. Most likely they are the same company that hosts your website.
Please wait 15 minutes for MX record change to take effect. If you changed name servers at any time during this process, the wait time is 24 to 48 hours. During the wait, some of your emails might go to your old service provider while some going through Enom.
After the MX record change, you can test your email service through our webmail or setup your email client. See articles How to Log Into Webmail and How to Configure an Email Program or Mobile Device using POP3 or IMAP
